Training Frameworks

CLEAR
PATHWAYS.

Each discipline needs its own structure, but the same baseline: welfare, safety, instructor competence, student clarity, and realistic progression.

Initial Framework Areas

Area 01

Mantrailing

Sport-based trailing progression covering starts, line handling, trail age, environments, and handler decision making.

Area 02

Scent Work

Structured scent foundations, indication behaviours, search patterns, odour discrimination, and confidence building.

Area 03

Agility

Safe movement, obstacle foundations, handler mechanics, fitness awareness, and staged skill development.

Area 04

Hoopers

Low-impact flowing courses built around hoops, barrels, tunnels, distance handling, and confident independent movement.

Area 05

Dog Behaviour

Practical behaviour education for everyday dogs, built around learning theory, management, and owner coaching.

Area 06

Mental Health

Clear boundaries and support principles for canine activities that benefit wellbeing without making clinical claims.

What Still Needs Building.

The public site now sets the direction. The next practical work is to publish the actual standards documents, instructor requirements, student levels, and assessment criteria for each discipline.

Scope Boundary

Progression within association frameworks does not imply emergency service, medical, security, or clinical capability unless a separate regulated qualification explicitly applies.
